18 Apr A True PNW Spring Session | Family Photos at Marina Beach Park

Last spring, I met this family on a beach in Edmonds to capture their little guy turning one. Spring in the PNW is really unpredictable (it seems that it might be the case across the country–I see you covered in snow, east coast–but that’s for another blog post). We tend to think cherry blossoms, flowers, and sunshine. You might get lucky and have your session land on one of those sunny days, but more likely than not, you will get chilly, cloudy, and potentially rainy. Fear not! A cloudy or rainy day doesn’t mean you won’t get beautiful photos. Case in point, this session. It was cold and dreary, but that didn’t stop this family from bringing their A-game smiles and just rolling with it.  I don’t want to make your photo experience miserable, so I will do everything in my power to find you those sunny days, but sometimes you just have to shoot in the cold or the rain. If you embrace it, we can create some magic (an added bonus is that you get locations all to yourself!). Give this family some love for making the most of this cold morning!
