This wedding was a very classic affair held in one of Ballard’s waterfront venues, The Canal. The event’s design, with the ease of its clean lines and formal touches (without all the pomp and circumstance) really fit the couple’s style to a tee. They have this very sweet and easy going nature to them–made even more evident when a small mishap happened during their “first look.” He pulled her in to hug her so tight that one of her dress straps broke. Now, in many cases this could lead to a serious bride melt down. Instead, she laughed. We pinned it back in place. She grabbed his hand and continued smiling for photos as if nothing ever happened. From then on, it was smooth sailing. I should also note that neither of them were crazy about being the center of attention, or having their photo taken for that matter, but they did both like champions and it appeared they even enjoyed themselves from time to time :). It was a lovely celebration on another gorgeous Seattle summer day. Thanks to my amazing second photographer, LaRae Lobdell for joining me, and showing off her wonderful talent! Enjoy the photos!
