23 Jan Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer | “Maritime”

These two. They’ve been killin’ it with their beautifully blended vocals and folksy meets indie rock sound. Their first album, “Seed of a Pine” was a soothing work of slow paced harmonies, set mostly to the sound of acoustic guitars. I enjoyed it on late mornings in with my cups of coffee while relaxing on the couch with a good book. Now, after a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, they are back with their second album, “Maritime,” set to be released very soon here in the U.S. This album is just as soulful and melodic as the first, but kicks it up a notch, providing a bit more rock–really showing off Mandy’s insane abilities with her electric guitar. It will be the soundtrack to my summer’s road trips! If you’ve never heard of them before, you can check out their sound and tour schedule here.  If you are lucky enough to live here in Seattle, they are playing the Triple Door on Thursday the 29th. You should check them out and support your local artists. It’s a hard road for musicians–the struggle is real, but so is the talent! Here’s a little peek inside a shoot I did with them up on San Juan Island, where they recorded their latest album and live.  \\ P.S. I’ve only included images they’ve already shown through social media and promotional posters
